A Montage of Colors!!!

So this outfit is a NIGHTMARE for some of you...citron and dark mushroom together...even CW is wearing citron...you all must be truly appalled. :)

Just some COLORFUL memories for you all!!!
Just some COLORFUL memories for you all!!! by dinagideon on Polyvore.com

To celebrate the end of the poll on "yuckiest" colors that J. Crew has ever created, I wanted to create a polyvore to showcase some of the best colors that J. Crew has ever dreamed up...the images are mainly Fall 2007 (and probably the best season of J. Crew yet).

I am not going to do a poll until I have enough color choices to pick from...so if you have a FAVORITE J. Crew color, please leave the choice in the comments. (I love Burnished Yellow and Peacock, for instance.)

And don't worry, Citron lovers, I will include the "LEAST FAVORITE" choice of Citron in the poll on best colors...I happen to ADORE Citron...

I don't think dark mushroom will make an appearance on the favorite color list unless one of you REALLY REALLY wants it on the list!!!

Have a great night...if I am not too tired (first day of kindergarten summer school today), I will post on the Coccodrillo pencil skirt...

I enjoyed dark peony. Tried to like citron but it was oh so bright against my tan skin.

I have that silk blue dress at the bottom right of your polyvore set! I love it (just had it altered) and cannot wait to sport it this fall! :)

My favorite J.Crew color is azalea, by far! I also like dark peacock and cantaloupe.

I also love the 07 peacock print--I have more items that I would care to admit--from head to to, hairband to ballet slippers! I don't have the Emma dress in peacock, though I've watched it on eBay

whoops, dark peacock was supposed to say dark peony

I vote for brilliant blue. So pretty.

I like citron too!! Have quite a few pieces in that color. My top favorite shade is PUTTY. I went crazy over that this past winter. Spearmint is a close second.

I love citron! My 2nd or 3rd fave jc color. dark mushroom is ok, depends on the application (cords- yes! silk dress-- not so much). :)

My favorite JC colors:

1. BURNISHED OLIVE! I have green eyes, so I wear lots of green. But this color has a lot of depth and really pulled me away from emeralds and grassy greens, and over to the realm of something a little more sophisticated.

2. Honey Glaze/Citron. a few years ago, yellow became very prominent in my wardrobe. Honey glaze is great year round, and citron is more of a spring/summer color for me... but sometimes on dreary winter days I will add a splash of citron via a tank under a sweater. Oh, and my bright saffron lady day!

3. Royal purple/regal blue: these shades are very rich and also bring out the green in my eyes. Looks good with my fair complexion (but I think they are universally flattering).

4. chocolate, acorn + heather graphite: my favorite jcrew neutrals. Because I love the aforementioned colors so much, I often balance them with jc's browns and greys. Because I am so fair, I find black to be a little harsh, so I only have a few black pieces in my wardrobe.

Spearmint!! And azalea, so pretty! I'm hoping for lots of deep purple this fall though...fingers crossed!

Hi Dina,
I love the royal purple, and the poppy.
OTT - I noted you are wearing the pearl cluster necklace in a previous post. I am undecided whether to buy it or not. It looks beautiful on ly, but would you find it too big for someone 5'2" like me?

Dina, I thought of you today when my Lexington jacket arrived from another JCA from last week's exchange. It is not a nice soft yellow like I imagined... instead it is definitely CITRON! I am going to try really hard to make it work but I have no clue what to pair it with.

I love Dark Peony, too. Honey Glaze, Spearmint, Regal Purple, are all colors that appear frequently in my wardrobe. I also like Fresh Guava. Spiced Mustard was awesome too, from 08.

Too many favorite colors to name each one but standouts include pale and vivid pinks, bright peacock, plum and honey glaze.

I actually ordered the oragami tank in mushroom after seeing it in Patina's outfit. I'm thinking it's a neutral that should work with some brights to 'pretty' it up. :)

WEll--my color choices will be different from yours I think--but I loved MISTY LAVENDER and SALMON--but top favorite is TEA ROSE!

Hi all! I am going to put up the fave color poll now and because all of you love so many colors, I will totally allow for multiple answers!

Elnobe: Get the cluster necklace. I am fairly "petite" on top and this necklace does not overwhelm me. I have worn it with so many outfits...it is such a beautiful piece. I think it is worth the money, imo, but I probably think that because I wear it so much! Hope this helps!

thanks Dina!

I am so in love with the Peacock print!
I only managed to get the silk sash, and I have paired that as a belt with jeans and my pony brown velvet jacket.
I would practically kill for the silk tote in that print.
I know I had this exchange with Hexicon when I first started following JCA about a year ago!
She has nearly everything in that print. So envious!
