Reminder: Boden's 20% Off Deal to End Tonight!

Now that Catherine and William are official...Boden's 20% off (on all orders of $150 or more) deal is going to end.  (It was fun while it lasted.)  :)

Above is the link you can use to enter the site and get 20% off.  I believe it ends at 11:59 pm Eastern, but it probably extends to whatever time zone you are in, so if you are a CA resident, then it would be 11:59 your time.  I am never up that late, so I have not ever seen the code expire real time, so take my words with a grain of salt.

Basically, I would say you have around 12 hours as of right now.  (If I set this post to publish correctly.)

For those of you needing some inspiration, here are links to prior Boden Weekly Review Roundups:
February 2, 2011.
February 9, 2011.
February 17, 2011.
February 25, 2011.
March 2, 2011. (Review of the Showstopping Knitted Jacket--which is not part of any sale because it is Limited Edition, all Limited Edition are full-priced almost always...I add this link to stay consistent.)
March 9, 2011.
March 16, 2011.
March 17, 2011. (Special Roundup CW and I did on dresses.)
March 23, 2011.
March 30, 2011.
April 6, 2011.
April 13, 2011.
April 20, 2011.
April 26, 2011.  (Technically not a review roundup, but it includes a video from the Rachael Ray show that has real life women in Boden clothing.  I really loved seeing the video, it helped seeing the clothing on real bodies and moving around--pics are great, but videos are even better!)
April 27, 2011.

Have fun and have a great Sunday!

P.S. If I am not super "timely" in responding to comments, I am having a very busy set of days and I will get to your comments, especially if you ask me a question...it may not be right away, but I will!   Thanks for understanding!  :)

Boden Clothing Appears on the Rachael Ray Show! :)

I don't normally watch the Rachael Ray show (I like her, just don't really care for talk shows) but when I saw that the stylists in the Gretta's London Style Takeover segment had used Boden clothing, I definitely knew I had to check it out! It aired on Friday, April 22, 2011, but I clearly wouldn't have seen it that day, even if I was a big fan of her talk show, as I was preparing for this more secretive love of mine (Boden vs. Rush, who would win?). ;) LOL.

All the women they styled looked super-cute "before" their interventions, but the stylist choosing exactly the right style and shape and size for each woman's unique body made them look spectacular in the "after" portion. I wouldn't mind being approached on the streets of London and being styled in all Boden...especially since some of the women received Boden Limited Edition pieces. Be still, my heart!

From what I can tell, these are the pieces that the stylists used:

Lady Number One:
Rainbow Tweed Jacket
Rainbow Tweed Jacket. Yep, the Boden Limited Edition. The color looks smashing with her pale complexion and gorgeous red hair.

Perfect Silk Top
Perfect Silk Top. (I think it is the perfect silk top!) Yum, that green is so pretty with the rainbow tweed!

Lady Number Two:
Spring Trench
Spring Trench. This is such a great staple, and I love that they belted it in the back (that is my fave way to wear a trench, provided it isn't raining of course).

Ruffle Silk Dress
Ruffle Silk Dress. Yet another Boden Limited Edition! :) That green color (parakeet is the name) is very pretty with this mid-blonde's hair, eyes, and skin. Lovely!

Lady Number Three:
Fringed Tweed Jacket
Fringed Tweed Jacket. Oh, wow. This looks really nice on her and I love how the collar kind of flops a bit giving the jacket either a collarless look OR a collared look (I know it was the wind playing with it, but still, very cool)!

Ruffled Ribbon Necklace
Ruffled Ribbon Necklace. I own this same one! Squee! Looks very polished and put together with the jacket...must remember this combo!

Slouchy Buckle Bag
Slouchy Buckle Bag. I nearly purchased this in pre-order, but canceled at the last minute. The size is perfection for a stylish mommy on the go, so I must seek it out on sale. :)

Lady Number Four:
Pleat Detail Wool Dress
Pleat Detail Wool Dress. I have heard that this dress RUNS TINY through the hips, but this lady clearly has the right body shape for the outfit, it looks very pretty on her, especially the plum color. Don't expect that I will be buying this anytime soon, lol.

Beaded Necklace
Beaded Necklace. The color choice they made (silver, not the blue version shown above) is exactly what this dress needed. :) I like this stylist!

Petal Clutch
Petal Clutch. Prettier in real life than on-line.

Did you all catch any others? That was all I could see, but I bet some of you hawkeyes out there could find more!

BTW, Boden Babes, if you have a Boden review for the Weekly Roundup tomorrow, would you mind e-mailing me at dinagideon AT aim DOT com? I have seen a few this past week, but there may be some that I have missed! Thanks!

Quickest Post of My Life...and a Boden Dress!

I am suffering from ennui today...I just can't seem to get it up for blog writing. I think it stems from spending so much time this weekend moving, that now that I am not moving, I just want to sleep or sit or just be. :) I know every single one of you have had days like this, so I know I am in good company.

Today is a Boden-centric day. One part of the post is a pic of me in a dress that I bought on super-sale from their Spring/Summer 2009 collection. This bad boy of a dress may still be on sale over at their US site.

And here it is, the blue bubble dress, as I affectionately have named this. I wore it when it was raining cats and dogs here in Virginia, and I just felt like the dress matched the mood of the day. It is a beautiful print, and can be worn casually (like I have done), or you could dress it up (maybe with tights, heels, pretty jewelry, and maybe a contrasting belt).

It is a jersey fabric dress, and Boden does their jersey dresses right...they always seem to be the best weight and they always seem to hit the curves of a woman's body well. I also love that they do many of their jersey dresses in prints, as opposed to my favorite company, who tends to stick to one color options...I wonder who I might be talking about? Hmmm...

Two...and this is so ridiculously cool...that if you are reading this over at J. Crew...please, please, please, for the love of all things fashionable...start doing this...the video catwalk of all dresses, skirts, and coats. At Boden, they have the SAME model walk down a catwalk in all the different types of dresses, skirts, and coats that they have created for that season. If you are on the fence of whether or not you should purchase an item, this video feature can make your decision easier. In fact, it was the video feature that convinced me to buy this coat (in turquoise) back when it was on a 20% sale. When you watch the video, you see how it flows over this model's body, you see the contrast lining, you notice how easy (or difficult) the buttons are to button, etc. It is a GREAT feature...and very, very helpful. The reviews from actual customers will always be MY favorite way to gauge whether something will work for me, but this video catwalk is up there in helping me decide. I also adore that Boden individually measures items at various places so you can, with the help of your handy-dandy measuring tape (you have one, right?), decide which size is also best for you.

These reasons, plus Boden's very unique style, keep me reaching across the Atlantic to get more from them. Poor J. Crew loses a lot of money to them from me...
