Here it is...Outfit #1 for Trip to Florida!!!

You all have already seen the polyvore of this day's oufit, but just in case you haven't go to this post and see "Saturday." Oh, and so you know, that pretty green dress also shown as part of Saturday's outfit? Well, it wasn't worn till Sunday, so you all will have to wait to see me in it (I know, the anticipation is JUST killing you...heehee). ;)

I am glad I chose to wear this outfit on the plane...it was UBER-comfy. The cardigan is the same merino michelle cardigan in melon that I wore on April 1, see this post here. The tank is the J. Crew painted tank that I searched high and low for...and finally bought from some store in Connecticut. It is VERY long on me, but I think I will tailor the straps to make it a bit shorter. It is weird...for as tall as I am, I have a very short torso so even smalls are sometimes too long or large. (I definitely never have that problem on my bottom-half...sigh.) The pants are J. Crew Madison stretch chinos and even though they are a little big (should be retired), I decided to keep them for this trip exclusively for the plane...there is nothing I hate more that having a too-snug waistband when you can't get up and adjust (you all know what I mean). The belt is the darling skinny-belt from J. Crew this season. Its perfect hot-pink color works so nicely with this cardigan and tank. The shoes are Earth shoes, and yes, they are ugly, but I have to wear them...they are perfect for travel. I also have on a pair of compression socks. I suffer from something called MTHFR disorder, which basically means that my blood clots too easily, and that can lead to BIG problems on flights. Here is a great explanation of the disorder. You probably have heard the stories...young girl on flight...gets off flight...collapses...discovered that she has a huge clot in her lung...she dies because it was too late. I also have to take extra aspirin (I take one baby aspirin a day to thin my blood everyday without fail) during this time for extra-blood thinning power...woo!

Aren't the kids just precious? Yes, I did dress CW to match me. And no, Rex is NOT dressed yet. He is still in his PJs...smart when you have a two-year old just learning to eat properly with a spoon!!!

Up next will be the post with the outfits from Sunday (the day we went to Magic Kingdom and this awesome restaurant called T. Rex in Downtown Disney).

Have a great night, everyone!!!

YAY! So happy you're back! I thought about swinging by this morning while I was out, but decided against it since I'm sure you guys were still jet-lagged and such. :D I'll try to pop by tomorrow! Missed you guys!

You're back! Yay! This is a perfect plane outfit. And didn't you feel good about how great you looked, especially when you probably saw so many people wearing pajamas (or worse!)?! ;)

So happy to hear you're back - you were missed, you know? :) 'Sounds like you had a blast in Florida, and I know having the right outfits will help immensely in having that "blast". LOL! I know that your IRL photos will be wonderful!

Glad to have you back! I hope you got a nice tan for us all:) I love all the pretty melon and guava shades you picured, too. I hope you had a blast!

BTW - I've been trying to email you this week (I know you've been in FL) but I don't know if I'm emailing to the right address. I just wanted to ask you really quickly: are you available on Saturday, May 9th for Tea? I'm really trying to wiggle the dates around to make sure some of our "regulars" don't have to miss. I'm holding off on setting the date until I hear from you, so can you just email me at contact@3pennyprincess.com to let me know? Thanks a bunch!

Love love love the belt with the cardi - so cute. Welcome back!! I think the larger pants for plane wear is a great idea - and infinitely better than the PJ's, as KatyO said.

AppGal: Thank you. I also see that we have a lot of the same taste in dresses! :) Jennifer, Lisa, and the Cottage dress...

Patina (such a cute name): I am now a huge fan of the belting of cardigans...but only when the cardigan is long enough...otherwise it just looks weird (at least on me it does). I would love to see what you would do with a belt and a cardigan...

Roxie (Snea): Yay! Well, we didn't see you yesterday, but obviously we understand. We are at the circus today and tomorrow we have Easter stuff, but don't you fret, you will see them real soon!!!

Gigiofca: I obviously e-mailed you and I will e-mail you later with a response. :) Thank you!

Yes, this condition is freak-tastic. Supposedly a ton of people have it and are not even aware of it...if I can make even one person think about getting themselves tested for it, then I have done something right.

I have a feeling that is why so many of my ancestors died of heart attacks and strokes...

FFM: I love Florida...you are so lucky to live there. Only thing that I didn't love? Crazy drivers and the amount of tolls. WOW on both counts. But it's not like drivers here are any better...just a bit slower!!!

KatyO.: You know, I didn't even think of it that way. I guess I am so focused on not having my kids destroy the plane or the peace of the people around us that I barely even notice what they are wearing. I bet you are right...there probably was a lot of PJ and sweats! I know I felt great, though. I always wear something soft on the plane, makes the ride that much better (I am not a good passenger on a plane...very anxious).

Drewablank: Not only did the outfits help me have a blast, because I knew what I was going to wear each day (within reason depending on the weather), I was able to get dressed and out of the place we were staying much faster. Plus, I packed way less than I normally do! Score twice!

3PP: Oh, I got a burn instead of a tan. On Tuesday, when we went to Universal Studios, it was cold and windy...so none of us put on sunscreen (stupid, stupid, stupid)...so I have a burn on my forehead. Very attractive. My hair did get a bit blonder, though, so I guess that is one good outcome. ;)

I e-mailed you...I cannot wait till the 9th! Awesome!

HeidiG: I will happily rock larger pants on plane rides. I mean, they are loose, but whatever, Stacy and Clinton from what not to wear probably couldn't even fault me. Hopefully my next plane flight will see me wearing a size smaller big pants. (Does that make sense?)
