Paris Catalog--Vanessa in the Library Print Doll Dress!!!

Here Vanessa seems to be saying, "Yes, I am a full grown woman, and yes, I am wearing a doll dress with frames all over it, but because of this perfect day full of sunshine, I don't look silly, even though I am fanning out the skirt so you can see the frames better..."

I own this dress. Because I am currently nursing CW, I won't be able to fit into the bodice of this dress for a little while (this dress is not made for the well-endowed ladies). I bought an 8 and the skirt part and height of the straps is perfect, though. I do not own the cardigan or shoes, but if pressed I could figure something out to do another copycat post. ;)

I love this image and I love it in particular today because it is so freaking nasty outside here in northern Virginia...raining, barely cracking 50 degrees, and everyone is in kind of a foul mood. Vanessa standing on these steps makes me smile. Thank you, Ms. Vanessa!

I just wanted to say thank you for sharing this pictures with us. I trashed by accident my JCrew catalogs when I moved to a new apartment and when hearing all of you girls talking about yous I miss them. But this makes up for it!
Thanks!

Love this one (can I borrow it for my not-well-endowed chest?)

I have so enjoyed all your Paris postings, because this is the catalog that I most vividly remember. These are the images that stick in my brain about J Crew. And I did some Vanessa-inspired makeup this morning -- redder lips than usual and major eyeliner - not sure it it will show up in my usual full-length pic, though.

Pretty! What a great price. You can work so many different cardis over that. Have you tried a solid tee underneath?

Cute, cute, cute! Thanks for sharing another page from the catalogue. :) One of the things I like so much about J. Crew is how their styles still look fresh from past seasons.

I went crazy and bought everything and I mean everything in the library print including the scarf, sweater, dress, skirt, tote, etc. I am a reading specialist so that is mainly why! I paid full price for only the sweater. That is my favorite of all the pieces in the collection!

Ladies, thank you for appreciating these images. More to come...

Gigiofca: I have not tried a tee under it yet, although that would be darling. I have to wait till I stop nursing...this dress is very tight right now in the upper body for me (which is rare--so I will celebrate it)!

Anon: Wow...I am glad you love this print. I do that with my fave prints. I have a lot of the Bahia and the Fresco.

I get the whole celebrate who you are through clothing. I am a history teacher so you should see some of the clothing items I have purchased. (A lot of them purchased in 2007 to celebrate the 400th anniversary of the founding of Virginia...)

Have a great day, ladies.

So... I just bought this dress through eBay and it's sitting down at my apartment blgd's front desk. I can't wait to fruit on! I am pretty much void of anything that even resembles a chest (kidding! but I am pretty flat), so I think it should fit my frame perfectly.

Also, thanks so much for posting these pics. I unfortunately never got to see this infamous Paris catalog, but so far it looks marvelous.

Um...so apparently commenting while using an iPhone does not work. "I can't wait to try it on" that was supposed to read. Oops.

I'm sure you have this somewhere but knowing your obsession with the Paris catalog I'd thought I'd check.
