Snow Leopard Simone Peacoat Plus Cerise Equals Quite a Combo!!!

Oh, it is SO nice outside today. Our family JUST loved it. We went to Old Town and had a blast. (I had to go to Mint Condition to sell more of my stuff--so you all know the Aubrey jacket and the Citron Bateau are still for sale--they are winter pieces and Mint Condition can't take them right now.)

I wanted to celebrate the awesomeness of the day (our first winter warm day--almost spring-like) by wearing a really HAPPY outfit. The polyvore above shows my choice.

You would NOT believe how many people complimented these pants! I think this color in this particular shape and style was a definite winner by J. Crew (I think they were sold in January 2009).

You know what is funny, though? In certain lighting, the pants look orange. Oops. Turns out that today was the St. Patty's Day parade and EVERYONE was wearing green. (And I LOVE green!) (And I am Catholic!) Wearing orange today is tantamount to saying "expletive" you to the Irish Catholics!!! Oh, no! (Yet I still got compliments, huh!)

Sizes:
Jacket: Size 4. God bless you, Slastena, for selling me the gorgeous Snow Leopard Simone Peacoat. IT IS AMAZING! :)
Tee: Size Small.
Pants: Size 8.
Shoes: Size 9.

Here is a view of the outfit without the jacket. This is a great tee...got it from the outlet back in September...very versatile layering piece, in my opinion. I am pretty sure you all have seen it on me before!

Well, that's it for now. Off to make dinner for the family!

I love those pants but could never pull the trigger on them myself. I love that color and they look gorgeous on you! and that jacket is so great and looks great with the pants. What a great combination.

Our St. Pat's day parade is next Saturday and I simply cannot wait for it!!! Green beer and all!!! We had weather in the 40's and sun day today so I'm hoping it's a repeat next weekend!!!

Dina- OMG! So gorgeous! I want the jacket back, please (just kidding)!!! You hair looks awesome and the whole outfit is just pure perfection!
What's your secret- you look slimmer and toned by the day?

I was about to ask if you got a haircut or something, because your hair looked so pretty! And then I saw the tags on the bottom, one of which said "haircut." I love it! I also adore the pants. I think it takes quite a bit of moxie to pull off such a bold color and you got it!

PS I ordered 2 Johnnie B dresses based on your posts. I'll report back on my successes.

I have the cafe capris in the same cerise color and they are definitively orangy. The color screams spring and they look gorgeous with the leopard peacoat. Great outfit to welcome spring!

Now this more like it! LOVE the pants. Love the jacket. You've started something - I think a lot of people are going to be scouring ebay for the jacket now. Great look.

*GASP* I love your hair! Did it change and I didn't even notice before?! It looks great! And those pants are amazing! The cut looks super on you, and you pull off the bright red really well! It's crazy that you must have been the red in a sea of green, but hey, at least everyone still loved it and you looked good, haha! The jacket is gorgeous too!

Such a fab outfit...but I can't believe a good Catholic girl like you wore orange to the St Patty's Day parade...bad dina!!

Hair looks fab, too!! You look amazing.

But it still just kills me that JC calls that shade "cerise"...who has seen orange cherries???

Hi, all! I am so sorry that this has taken me SO long to comment back to...it has been crazy busy here. It's all good, but incredibly time-consuming. At least I got to give everyone a sneak peek of the Liberty of London for Target stuff, so whee for that! :)

This outfit may be one of my all-time faves...everything from proportion to color to cut to print was in sync, and that made me feel fab (even if I did wear orange on the St. Patty's day parade)!

My haircut is new for all you super-sleuths. I love it. I cannot for the life of me to get it to go back to that style, but I have to say just a sprinkling of highlights (I think there were 15 foils placed near my brow and roots), plus a shorter do, with slight bangs, and a few layers made a big difference. I am a happy girl...

Anon at 8:53: Please do report back on the Johnnie B. dresses...some of them are SO cute!

Anon at 8:34: I bet it was because the commenters wanted me to be happy, and I think they realize at some level it is *hard* for me to find the time to take care of my hair...and I do try really hard to look as good as possible with the limited resources and energy I have. :) But I knew that you were right at some level, so I begged my dad to come with me so he could sit with the kids. LOL. I hope I don't have to go too long for my next haircut (but thank goodness no color--love the summer sun)!

You look smashing, great outfit, new 'do and all.

Loveth!

Thanks so much for your irl pics of Liberty of London. They helped immensely as I shopped online. I passed by the adorable floral coat because I know that yellow isn't going to work for me. Neither is the green in that ruffle cami top. I settled on the floral sheath in 2 sizes so if I like it, I'm getting the one w/the best fit. I think most of the LOL will sell out.
