Two Outfits for Teaching School...I Wish this Post Was More Exciting...

I won't spend much time introducing these outfits, but I did wear them to teach, and they did the job...they were comfy, practical, and appropriate. Yawn.

One is a Boden dress from this spring (love the print) and the other is the lovely Jennifer Shirtdress from Fall 2007 (and in this shot from the Paris catalog).

Here is the polyvore for the Boden Dress outfit.

Here is the Boden dress on me. Although I am tall, I ordered this in a 12 regular as opposed to a 12 tall. I only buy talls in Boden when I am buying a skirt or pants. The dresses are too tall in the torso for me to wear them. The shoes are from Nine West last year. Love them, very comfy, but alas with this outfit...looking a bit crunchy-granola. Heehee. :) The necklace is the Target one I first wore with this outfit.

I love this print. My hubby must have, too, because he grabbed this shot of it. I normally don't use his "silly" pics (of which there is one a day), but I liked this one. Kind of cool...

Here is the polyvore with the Jennifer shirtdress.

Here is the Jennifer shirtdress on me. I look very RESPONSIBLE. Maybe too much...I think this outfit needs a better belt. That is a whole lot of brown. I love the necklace. I bit the bullet and bought the insanely pricey J. Crew one, but I did it with 20% off at least. And unlike some of you, I really LOVE the mix of clear and opaque pearls. The shoes are the awesome dusty rose Juliet pumps. The color is just delicious with the brown. :)

Here is my little superman. I think the only pjs he is missing from the superhero collection may be Spiderman. Hmm...maybe we need to go and get those.

Have an AWESOME Sunday. Ours is going pretty well so far!

Oh I just LOVE that Boden dress and it looks FABULOUS on you! I also think you look very pretty in the J.Crew Jennifer dress, too...nothing bad with looking *responsible*, especially when you still look great! Have a great day Dina! :)

Love the Jennifer shirt dress. I'm sorry I didn't buy this one.

Can't wait to see your review/IRL pics of the Cocodrillo skirt. You were right, the fit is very nice.

ooh, I really need to try out Boden soon. I love that dress! Is it a knit dress? (you know how I feel about those...hehe)

And you do look beautiful in the Jennifer dress. Remember a while back when I told you I thought I'd snagged a Jennifer off ebay? Hmm...I'm not thinking I did, but it is SO similar! It doesn't have a belt though, so that is what's tipping me off. I will definitely have to post pics of me in it to see if we can super-sleuth it enough to figure out just what dress I have!

The Jennifer dress is so pretty and flattering! I love everything from the Paris catalog. I'm hoping the new Fall collection will be just as nice (or even better :)

OMG, did I miss your bday? Happy birthday, then!

Love the Boden dress on you - that print is so cool, and so you. So fab.

Love the Jennifer dress - love the necklace & pumps, too. You do Vanessa proud, even without the rollerskates.

Whee!!! I am actually able to restart commenting!!!

FFM: Thank you for the nice comments...I seriously considered not putting the pic of me in the Jennifer dress up because I think I look severe. :) Good to know I may be the only one to feel that way!

Jemma Ruby: I would LOVE to see you in that BR dress...I know it must look so pretty on you...

Can you get over the Boden prints? They ALWAYS suck me right in with their prints...

Melissamolasses: I think I need to wear the coccodrillo print skirt soon...maybe this week to dinner? Hmm...

I am glad you love it, too. Everything about it is exceptional...print, fabric, and fit. SCORE ONE for J. Crew!

Patina: I love that you love it so much. It feels awesome on and looks classy in real life but I wasn't sure that it translated with the pics...

Thank you...and by the way, Happy Birthday...sounds like you had a great weekend!

AppGal: The Boden dress is a knit, but not cotton or modal jersey, it is some sort of man-made fiber...which is cool and all, but I don't think I should stand too close to a fireplace...just in case. LOL. :)

Ooh, wear it soon...we'll figure out which dress you got!!! We are either obssessed (most likely) or really good with detective work...

Drewablank: I hope you are feeling better...that stinks. We missed you but it's okay...I am ALWAYS surprised when people can make my birthday parties...no one is ever in town when we have them. A few folks did show up and it was a good time. :)

No worries, though, we will see each other soon!!! (Expect an e-mail today or tomorrow...)

Tres Tippy: Thank you! And I hope they can make a catalog as awesome as the Paris one. That would be c'est manifique! Maybe they could go to Brazil or India or Bora Bora...I guess those are more "summer" locales. Okay...hmm...Glacier National Park or NYC (why haven't they done this yet?) or Washington, D.C. (ooh, we could all watch) or Munich or Moscow...

Oh, and they obviously NEED to get Vanessa back...

And obviously make clothes that stand the test of time (Clara chiffon cardi, anyone...chirp, chirp, chirp, silence).

HeidiG: Nope, I am still the same age I was last week. You can save the Happy Birthday until Wednesday at 8:06 am (I was born at 5:06 am but in California). Oh, and Wednesday is Canada Day. :) So...here is the irony...I was born on Canada Day, three days shy of Independence Day, and when I grew up I became an AMERICAN history teacher. Natch. At least I wasn't born on July 1, 1976. That would have been too much...three days away from the bicentennial...

luvallthingsjcrew: I want to see you in it...I bet it is a fantastic cut for you...defining your tiny waist and all...

The outfit of the day: Thank you so much...I will definitely have to pull this one out of the closet this fall and pair it with boots and tights...
